                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR 
                   OF THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES TO 
                   EXTEND THE EXISTING CONTRACT WITH DERTHICK, 
                   HENLEY & WILKERSON FOR ARCHITECTURAL AND 
                   ENGINEERING SERVICES RELATIVE TO THE BESSIE 
                   SMITH HALL NOT TO EXCEED A BASE AMOUNT OF 
                   FIFTEEN THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY-FIVE 
                   DOLLARS ($15,465.00) WITH PROVISIONS FOR 
                   ADDITIONAL SERVICES IN AN ADDITIONAL AMOUNT 
                   OF TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2,000.00).

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Administrator of the Department 
       of General Services be and is hereby authorized to extend the 
       existing contract with Derthick, Henley & Wilkerson for 
       architectural and engineering services relative to the Bessie 
       Smith Hall not to exceed a base amount of $15,465.00 with 
       provisions for additional services in an additional amount of 
       $2,000.00.
